Challenge: The client requested a page to educate consumers clicking on SEM and banner ads, and to ultimately drive them to buy a phone or plan. Working against very tight timelines and within rigid brand restrictions, we created a landing page to be educational and flexible, so that we could continuously update it to reflect the latest promotions.
In addition to providing analytics results that have helped our client to define a consumer persona, the site has driven over 11,000 sales for this fledgling brand in it's first year.
Lead Generation: Ameriprise
Project: Lead Generating Landing Page
Role: Graphic Designer
Challenge: Ameriprise needed to generate leads for their phone-based advisors, but investors are hesitant to turn over too much information online when they don't understand the process that will result. We were tasked with creating a landing page that would not only drive leads, but also build credibility, create urgency, and provide additional education.
Annual Report: Sporting Goods Store
Project: Annual book for Sporting Goods Store
Role: Graphic Designer
Challenge: The client had a huge sales year in 2015, and we set out to demonstrate to them the role that digital advertising had played in that. Our team wanted to make sure to deliver the client's sales data in a way that they could easily digest (while maybe tooting our own horns). This annual book gave me an opportunity to showcase data in an approachable way.
Wireframes: Total Wireless Catalog
Project: e-Commerce Catalog Wireframe Pitch
Role: UI/UX Designer
Challenge: The client's current e-commerce cart was confusing, counterintuitive, and not mobile compatible. To improve the consumer experience, we pitched this improved e-commerce experience. It enables consumers to shop plans or phones or both (not an option with their current cart), provides simple, intuitive ways to select styles and compare devices, and offers an efficient checkout process. The whole thing is responsive so it works on devices of any size.
Landing Page: Straight Talk Wireless
Project: Branded Landing Page
Role: Art Director + Designer
Challenge: A critical piece in our robust direct response tool kit, this branded landing page helps guide consumers from loose brand awareness into a purchase flow. Designed to educate and entice, the page features a hero space to promote Straight Talk's most compelling offer, phone catalog boasting the brand's top sellers, interactive plan matrix, and plenty of educational material.
Landing Page: Net10 Wireless
Project: Landing Page
Role: Art Director + UI Designer
Challenge: Net10's brand was in flux between two different iterations when the client rolled out an increase in their data plans that had the potential to generate a huge boost in their sales. The challenge of this project was to marry the client's offline branding with their evolving online look to create a landing page that put the data increase front and center.
Secondarily, we needed to sell the product. This page pulls headline fonts from the offline brand, subheads from the digital style, and colors from both to create a clean experience where the product, not the design, is the focus. We even had an opportunity to incorporate a bit of animation to drive home the benefits of increased data. The result? Not only did this page drive sales, it set the tone for the brand's future expression in the digital space.
Project: Astronaut Illustrations for a STEM lesson
Opportunity: I created these astronaut illustrations for a friend (Nate) to use as classroom aids for a space lesson. the suits are modeled after those used by current astronauts on the International Space Station.
Branding: Cutfresh Organics
Project: Logo & Packaging
Challenge: A friend challenged me to design a logo for his organic farm. He wanted to represent the growing process from seed to stalk. The final design needed to be simple enough to translate into single color for packaging, but engaging enough to be used as a pattern on farmers' market tote bags and other printed materials.
